OPENING CASE The Huge Scope of Privacy Issues The Problems •  Websites are Windows to the World and to Data: Websites can be used to access personal confidential data by hackers. Corporations that back up data in unencrypted formats could lose that data, also exposing private information. •  Medical Data are not Safe Either: Employees in hospitals or other medical organizations could use their access to medical data to sell private data to outsiders.
