The flora consisted of 78 taxa belonging to the Bacillariophyta (47 taxa), Cyanophyta (16 taxa), Chlorophyta (14 taxa) and Euglenophyta (1 taxon). The Bacillariophyta was the dominant form of algal flora. Amphora ovalis var. pediculus, Ceratoneis arcus, Cymbella affinis, C. minuta, Didymosphenia geminata, Melosira varians and Synedra ulna were the most frequent taxa in the algal flora. While the maximum density of the epipelic community was 29,555 cells/cm2 at station I in June, it was 27,756 cells/cm2 at station II in November. The speed of the water current has a great impact on the development of algal flora. Key Words: Epipelic, Epilithic, Algal Community, Yanbolu River. Yanbolu Deresi’nin Afla¤› K›sm›n›n (Trabzon-Türkiye) Epipelik ve Epilitik Alg Floras› Özet: Yanbolu deresi algleri Ekim 2000 ve Eylül 2001 tarihleri aras›nda seçilen iki istasyonda, farkl› habitatlardan (epipelik, epilitik) toplanan örneklerde incelenmifltir. Flora Bacillariophyta (47 takson), Cyanophyta (16 takson), Chlorophyta (14 takson) ve Euglenophyta (1 takson) bölümlerine ait toplam 78 taksondan oluflmufltur. Bacillariophyta hakim alg grubudur. Amphora ovalis var. pediculus, Ceratoneis arcus, Cymbella affinis, C. minuta, Didymosphenia geminata, Melosira varians ve Synedra ulna florada yayg›n taksonlar olmufltur. Epipelik kommunitenin maksimum yo¤unlu¤u I. istasyonda Haziran ay›nda 29555 cells/cm2 iken, bu de¤er II. 2 istasyonda Kas›m ay›nda 27756 cells/cm olarak bulundu.
