The results showed that calli and somatic embryos were formed from apical meristem culture of runner tips on the MS medium supplemented with 30 g/l sucrose, 7 g/l agar, mg/l NAA, mg/l BA (with the highest survival rate of , the best induction callus rate of 60%, somatic embryos/sample). Calli which was multiplied with - fold fresh mass, formed somatic embryos with embryos/initial callus when they were subcultured on the MS medium supplemented with 30 g/l sucrose, 7 g/l agar, mg/l BA. These embryos converted into normal plants on the ½ MS medium with the best regeneration rate of 100% without plant growth regulators. Histological observation showed that these calli contained embryogenic cells. In the ex-vitro culture, the highest survival rate was observed with mixture of Tribat substrate and rice husk ash in the ratio of 1:1 () and no morphological variations were observed in these plantlets.
