However, the yield of floating rice is quite low. Therefore, the selection of pure lines which high yiels plays an important role. The study of 76 lines of floating rice selected from Thanh Binh district, Dong Thap province and Cho Moi and Tri Ton district, An Giang province was carried out in non-replicated trial at My An commue, Cho Moi district in 2015 -2016. Grain yield, agronomic and grain traits, and diseases were collected. The results show that most lines flowered in November and harvested in December year?. The growth duration was from 140 to 165 days. Plants’ heights varied from meters to meters. Especially, plants of the lines - CM26, CM27, CM28, CM29, CM30, CM31 were found higher than 2 meters. The tillers increased strongly from 30 to 60 days after being sowed. Yields ranged from to tons/ha. The lines CM28 gave the highest yield of tons/ha, and 28 other lines gave their yields that were higher than the yield of local check variety. CM33, CM45, TT42 were very resistant to panicle blast. CM45, CM46, TB27, TT26, TT41, TT43, TT49 lines were found to be resistant to sheath rot, and TB41, TB42, TB43, TB44, TB45, TB46, TT34 were resistant to brown spot. Most lines were high to intermediate - gelatinization temperature starch, and only three lines were from the
