This novel is successful so it has received a lot of positive reader feedbacks in recent years. The novel not only has a remarkable humanistic meaning but also reflects the life in Southern region of Vietnam in a particular stage. Although Mac Can still has not stood out from the other writers in the phase of the literature development, within Tam van phong dao, readers have recognized him due to his flexible and natural writing style, affected by his own unheard-of writing techniques, which are exposed through many aspects including the artistic points of view on human beings, story structure, art of telling story, art of using soliloquy and introspective dialogues, tongue and language, etc. This study aims to analyze this literary work based on those aspects in order to figure out the unique features in the writing style of Mac Can, who has helped to enrich the physiognomy of fiction in the early XXI century.
