General long-term liabilities are reported as liabilities in the Governmental Activities column of the government-wide statement of net position but are not reported as liabilities of governmental funds. Long-term Liability Sources Accounting for Long-term Liabilities Long-term liabilities are recognized in the governmental activities records at the government-wide level, even though the proceeds may be recorded in a governmental fund.
