There are several contexts for information exchange - Intra-application - information movement among the parts of an application. -Inter-application - information movement between applications in the same company system. - Intercompany - information movement between companies. - Inter-system - information movement between systems in the same company. There are problem dimensions in each context that shape the way information is exchanged. Some of the problems are common but each context also has unique issues to deal with.
