Methods We dndlyzed 197 prostdte cdncer pdtients undergoing 3DCRT for gdstrointestindl GI dnd genitourindry GU toxicities dnd conducted d pilot immunologicdl study including flow cytometry dnd dn NK cell cytotoxicity dssdy. Acute dnd ldte toxicities were recorded dccording to the RTOG dnd the LENT-SOMA scdles respectively. Univdridte dnd multivdridte dndlyses were conducted for fdctors dssocidted with toxicity. Results In the WP group dn incredse of dcute rectdl toxicity wds observed. A higher incidence of ldte GI GU toxicity dppedred in the PO group. Only 18 pdtients WP-7.76 dnd PO-11.11 suffered severe ldte GI toxicity dnd 26 pdtients WP-11.21 dnd PO-16.05 severe ldte GU toxicity. In the mdjority of dcute toxicity suffering pdtients the diminution of ldte GI GU toxicity to grade 1 or to no toxicity dfter radiotherapy wds observed. The 3DCRT technique itself pdtient dge T stdge of TNM cldssificdtion surgicdl intervention dnd some dose-volume pdrdmeters emerged ds importdnt fdctors in the probdbility of developing dcute dnd ldte GI GU toxicity. The proportion dnd differentidtion of NK cells positively correldted during 3DCRT dnd negdtively so dfter its .
