Utilizing coffee husk biochar as an effective adsorbent for ammonium removal in groundwater

This study aims to develop a novel biochar derived from coffee husk to effectively eliminate ammonium from the aqueous solution. According to the preliminary test, the coffee husk was selected among several popular agricultural wastes for biochar synthesis; then, the pristine biochar (BCFH) was modified using NaOH to achieve an activated biochar (BCFH-NaOH). |
