Patients and methods Including 29 patients with laryngeal cancer total laryngectomy at the Department of Otolaryngology K Hospital. Prospective study with individual intervention. Results The mean age was 60 6. 93 of patients showed signs of hoarseness. 96.5 of patients have endoscopic images of warts. All patients were taken care following to technical procedures of the Ministry of Health. Postoperative complications occurred in 3 patients of which 1 patient had bleeding from the incision 1 patient had bronchial fistula and chylous fistula. 96.5 of patients lost weight after 1 week. The vast majority of patients had a lower body mass index BMI after surgery compared to before surgery. There were 51 7 of patients with anxiety and stress before surgery. After surgery only 24 of patients were anxious and stressed. 93.3 of patients did not have nosocomial infections. 79 of patients were very satisfied with the nursing care. Some factors were related to the patient s care are psychological problem due to lack of suitable psychologist and weight loss BMI decreased because 100 of patients given inadequate feeding techniques through sonde. Conclusions The common sign of laryngeal cancer is hoarseness 93 and endoscopic images of warts 96 5 . Anxiety and stress before surgery were recorded in 51 7 due to lack of psychological intervention. All .
