Most isolates of the genus Trichoderma were found to act as mycoparasites of many economically important aerial and soil-borne plant pathogens. Trichoderma has gained importance as a substitute for chemical pesticides and hence an attempt was intended to corroborate the positive relatedness of molecular and morphological characters. Fungal strains of Trichoderma BSAs were isolated collected from four different districts of Uttar Pradesh, India. The universal primers were used for amplification of 5.8SrRNA gene fragment and the strain was characterized by using 5.8SrRNA gene sequence with the help of ITS marker. It is proposed that the identified isolates assigned as the species of the genus Trichoderma based on TrichoKey analysis together with the 5.8SrRNA gene sequence search in Ribosomal Database Project, small subunit rRNA and large subunit rRNA databases. Thus the molecular markers can be employed to identify a superior strain of Trichoderma for its commercial exploitation. | Int.J.Curr.Microbiol.App.Sci 2019 8 2 3282-3290 EXCELLENT PUBLISHERS International Journal of Current Microbiology andAppliedSciences ISSN 2319-7706 Volume 8 Number 02 2019 Journal homepage http www.ijcmas.com Original Research Article https doi.org 10.20546 ijcmas.2019.802.383 Molecular and Computational Studies of Trichoderma Isolates Ved Ratan1 Mukesh Srivastava2 Supriya Dixit3 D.K.
