This is made possible by technologies such as Virtualization. The challenges of provisioning, managing and scheduling the resources are aplenty. Autonomic Cloud computing provides solutions for automatically scale up or down the resource pool. Various resource management schemes are available and the proposed mechanism is an enhanced version of Live Virtual Machine Migration. | ISSN:2249-5789 G Sobers Smiles David et al, International Journal of Computer Science & Communication Networks,Vol 6(4),205-210 Autonomic Resource Provisioning for Cloud Computing using Pre-Copy Approach G.Sobers Smiles David1, Dr.R.Anbuselvi2 Bishop Heber College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, TN sobersbhc@gmail.com, r.anbuselvi@yahoo.in. Abstract Cloud Computing has impacted the way data is stored, handled and accessed. One of the biggest advantages of Cloud Computing, is its ability to provide service on a large scale. The technique of PreCopy is used to study the behaviour of resources and the performance of the resource management system is enhanced by the Pre-Copy approach. Keywords: Cloud Computing, Autonomic Resource Provisioning, Pre-copy Approach. as Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Community Cloud and Hybrid Cloud [1]. Fig 1.NIST Cloud-Basic Service Model 1. Introduction 1. Introduction The last decade has witnessed a huge number of innovations and new technologies which have impacted our routines and have simplified our lives. The emergence of cloud computing has resulted in a paradigm shift the way data is stored and handled. Cloud Computing has emerged as a new paradigm for providing services over the internet. The U.S government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) defines Cloud Computing as a model for enabling on-demand, ubiquitous, and convenient network access to a shared pool of configurable resources such as networks, servers, storage, applications and services which could be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service .
